All in all it was a good run.

I got there around 10 and BS'ed with maniac , blackix and the others. Collins was stuck in traffic and it took him a while to get there.

After he got there we lowered the pressure in his MT ET street radials, and I let him go to the spot to get a feel for it and get a test pass so he could try and learn. I didn't do any test runs at the spot tonight as I didn't feel like me practicing and him not would be very fair.

Collins came back, and we got to it. After having to wait for a few cars to pass we did our burnouts.... and lined up. I made sure to wait until the hands fully dropped as I didn't want to be a jumper and off we went. I powershifted second, and ran it out and nailed third as hard as I could. I was looking over my shoulder as I hit third and it actually spun hard into third and I got a little loose. I didn't come into collins lane but I was visibly moving around, I backed out of the gas and got back in it and we passed the finish line. I was up by a good bit until I backed out.... but when we crossed the line I was about a full car ahead. I will post the video as soon as I rip it off my camera. We have about 3 camera angles of the run.

Props to collins for showing up, and props to him for a strong running car.

I don't think collins would have pulled on me.... I was moving out pretty good and I was actually pulling away from him until I backed out. It wasn't by much at all but he can chime in with what he saw as I didn't have the best vantage point looking over my shoulder. I did have to back completely out of the gas when my car got loose but the race was damn near over at that point.

No time really. The place got real hot real fast. We saw two people on cell phones and a lot of cars passed. One of the guys that was there said he saw a cop....I didn't get a chance to run maniac or darkstar on low boost like I wanted to.

I didn't back up ALL my talk, I told collins I'd drag his ass by two cars and it was only 1 - 1.5 :(

Cold street? Not enough burnout? You never know. I couldn't get them to spin when I tried to lock it down, but it sure spun a bit on the launch.

That is the only way I can explain it.

I didn't see the type of tires he was running but the larger diameter of say a 28" tall slick would widen his gears (duhh), therefor if he was shifting before you then ....hmm
An intake/exhaust/tuned goat is still going to get a high 12@108-111ish IIRC on slicks on a good day, Collins car is a good bit faster then that.

Your GF is quite mistaken about my gears, and needs to learn about tire sizes and how that effects gear ratios. Anytime you are confused on whether or not I am stock gears you are welcome to ride with me or drive my car for yourself to feel the proof.
