driving drunk is stupid enough... but driving drunk with that many passangers.... no remorse for your friend, but RIP to the passanger and hope the other passangers recover.

no remorse? They let him drive thats their own stupidity. Yeshe made a mistake but they chose to get in the car with him.

Want me to feel sorry for him? Ya, they were at fault too... but he was the one driving. Luckily it was just an isolated incident and they didn't hit some innocent folks... I've known too many people who have been killed or nearly killed by some morons driving drunk... and this is coming from a person who drinks pretty heavily... If you can't even walk straight dont even attempt driving a car...

Well, clearly no one needs to say much here besides how awful it is.

I'll say a prayer for all that were involved. I'm really sorry about your friend.

Well, the jury is still open on this one. Alcohol "might" be a factor. However, I'll give both of my statements and depending on the outcome of the blood tests...

1. If he was found to be sober (or under the limit), then this really sucks. A young guy driving his buddies home after a fun trip. :( Was he wearing his seatbelt?

2. He is found to be DUI. I'm sorry, but I have no pity for the driver. As for the passengers, that is up in the air. They might not have known that he was impaired enough to not drive. That's a tough call. Depending on the circumstances, you can/can't blame them for getting in the car with him. They might not have even known. I've seen friends look perfectly sober, but there is no way that they could drive given the level of alcohol in their system. It happens. We just don't know what they saw or their mindset.

He is lucky that he died else he would be sitting in jail right now for manslaughter charges either way.

that sucks man, i'm sorry.

another reason why i don't drink

i've seen the aftermath of what drunk driving can do firsthand, and that isn't something that you forget.

i'm honestly sorry about the loss of life. but after last weeks incident of standing at deaths firey door due to the negligence of a drunk driver, it's kinda hard to pass that same feeling of sympathy to the driver(your friend). if he was drunk .....he made a choice that took other innocent people with him. if he was sober and merely lost control of the vehicle....i truly feel sorry for him. once again...that's why if i do drink, i dont drive shit. i dont care if it was a bike(with pedals)i wont do it.

when i was younger and stupid yeah, i drove home from a club drunk one time, and to be honest that night , the only thing i recall was walking from the club door, and then placing my keys in my apartment door. when i thought about that the following day, i was ashamed of myself , cause i could've hit someone and put them in the situation i was just in. not cool.

in closing. my sympathy to you for losing a friend, to his family for losing a son, brother, cousin, nephew or even uncle. and to his child for losing a father.

hopefully dude, you will heed the warning that his untimely death has issued. and be responsible when you decide to drink it up.
