My gf has been on a cruise since last sunday. She's coming back tomorrow. Anyway, I've been texting her since she's been on the ship,( The text not even getting to her) just to be sweet and let her know how my day was everyday (except friday because I was SUPER BUSY and I'll be honest, I just didn't think about it, but I was still thinkning about her), so when she gets back and have a long road trip back home, she can have something to read and have peace in mind, that I was thinking about her the whole time she was on the cruise.

Anyway, she just texted me a minute ago, after I texted her about my day today, and what I'm doing tomorrow (Discount Tire Picnic). I get a random text back saying, "You don't love me? You don't mis me? :( have you moved on already?" I'm like, "WTF?!" Are you serious? I didn't tell her ILY and I miss her in one text, and she's ready to kill me?

THe point is, I didn't even have to text her from the beginning. I was texting a freakin' GHOST for cryin' out loud! And she's gets upset with me, cause I didn't text her yesterday, and I didn't tell her I love her and miss her in the text today. Wtf, this is NOT the kinda relationship I want to be in. What do yo uguys think about this homosexual situation? Sounds stupid, but it was aggitates me...

Not only did I manage to still burn my fingers, but I lost an all important C-clip holding the actuator rod on the actual wastegate. So I had to improvise....

Or is this based off calculations or somebody elses experience/numbers?
You didn't spend much money and you made an additional 20whp? That's pretty good. But its not about peak numbers (which is what you posted). Its about area under the curve- where your making the power/how long your making the power. That plus throttle response and how quickly the motor wants to wind up (aren't BMW's known for this?). Pair all of this with being able to keep the motor in the powerband (via good driving and proper gearing) and you soon realize, peak power isn't everything.

More for Brandon: You didn't say how much torque? That's really more important than horsepower in some circumstances. And how much does the car weigh? 3300lbs?

My car only made 192whp but the torque curve was fairly flat and being able to keep it in the powerband (most guys shift their H22 at 7500rpm or better. 7200 rpm works best on a stock internal H22) is what contributed to it being as quick as it was (which isn't saying much but for a heavy honda at 2800lbs and completely stock internals- it was impressive to those that drove it, rode in it, or raced against it).

bmw's are all about gearing and the usability of the full rpm range, not just at 4500 rpm and up

Yeah, it was pretty nice in the R8 did good in every aspect. the seat held me in tight but not to tight, people tall and short would be able to fit (i am 5'11 and with the seat pushed all the way back i had a hard time pushing the clutch all the way down), ride was nice not to stiff, dials were easy to read, feedback from the wheel was perfect, the leather was top shelf and smelled wonderful, i did not touch the navi but, i am sure its pretty easy to use (not to many buttons). I would say the R8 would be very easy to live with as a daily every thing was pretty easy to reach with the seat in the proper place.

-edit- i thought the brakes were cool. the rear had 2 calipers and the fronts were just massive an took up the entire mid of the 19" wheels......
