For something that you MAY occassionally track? SOmething that your gonna just basically drive and bring out to meets, its basically a waste. I tell everybody: the factory builds motors with little "reliability faries" in the block, and once you open it up to fuck with shit, they fly away. Typically any motor with forged pistons (i don't give a fuck if they're the Holy Grail of H series pistons: Mahle or a regular set of CP slugs) has a short lifespan no matter who or how well they are put together. Its simple physics: forged pistons "slap" around in the cylinder walls untill the motor warms up and the pistons expand fit properly. This destroying of the cylinder walls happens everytime there is a cold start and is severly compounded when you begin driving the car before it fully warms up.
This is exactly why I'm doing a stock block build rather than a forged piston upgrade.

Depends on what you wanna do. If you wanna spend a shit ton of money and only go so fast i guess. You could buy something with more potential and be quicker for less time and money.
I've long since discovered you build a honda because you want to and its enjoyable for you. 9 times out of 10 there are much better choices and more reasonable (cheaper) choices for going faster.

With that said, I still wanna build another Honda. :yes: My only problem is I can't have two project cars. lol

It is definitely true about building a Honda is something you like to do. Until I get my Evo next year, the accord will have to do. Probably just gonna stick with a simple swap and make it a decent dd and worry about performance more when the Evo comes.

YES it is better than Forza 4. How? The little improvements made it better. 3 was already a great simulator but they added a few things in 4 that just made it better. First of all, the graphics are just a major overhaul from 3. Cars actually look well modeled and the way they blend with the environment (reflections, lighting, weather, etc) can really be noticed while playing. I'm surprised that the 360 can handle the graphics. There's the little animations too like the Bugatti Veyron's wing going up as it hits a certain speed, so does the LFA, and the Ferrari's and even the wind brakes for the Mercedes Mclaren. There's sparks from under the cars now when you hit the ground, and damage is actually more noticable than just a scratch from 3. They added more cars too it too, way more cars and of course they'll be adding more with DLC. The track list hasn't changed much either, they just added or removed a few. Not sure if there's more or less, but definitely new tracks (Not to mention Top Gear).

Then there's the Club system and the Rival system. You can share cars with your clubmates and organize races within the club, so this time, you can actually show off what you built, and they can even try it out. The rival system acts as a leaderboard/challenge races that lets you really compare times with other people near you or your friendlist.

The game modes and race modes are improved too. They added autocross and track days which I like. It's not just driving around a track like Forza 3 which got old quick. They have stuff to spice it up. They even have shared classes within one race now (ex. S class in-front then a F class at the back of the start line, then dodging F class cars). The races are more strict with car classes too. It really won't let you race a S class within a race with A class cars in it, it has to be spot on which is good because in 3, as long as you are higher than the minimum you can race it if it's not specified in the restrictions.

The autovista's kind of a "Meh". It's more of showing off what the graphics are with the game but hey it's still nice to look at. The head-tracking... I use it and what a brilliant idea. It's not like the kind of thing where you turn your head. It really does work, I have no idea how the kinect knows where you're looking. It's sensitive so you don't have to move your head as much so you still see the screen perfectly but it's not so irritating that the in-game camera moves around too much. I'll tell you that you don't really need it, but it's fun to have it on, looking through turns when sideways and looking at the rear mirrors or just playing around when you're not trying to turn.

The only disappointment, WHERE IN THE FUCK IS PORSCHE?!?!? It has RUF but where in the fuck are the normal Porsche?! DLC? or is there some sort of legitimate reason why Porsche isn't in the game??! Other than that, worth $60. Stop being such a cheapass, just buy the game, you'll love it, you'll play it longer than your usual game, and it's fun. You don't need the collector's edition, we're just hardasses like that.

I never received an error message. I had to update her iTunes to 10.5 in order to download the iOS5 software. I already had the .ipsw file on the iMac but left my thumbdrive at work. That would have made everything go by a lot faster.

My theory for a better lap time was to pick the white Kia. Because white will reflect the light which naturally will keep the car cooler. Which in turn means a cooler engine. We all know cooler engine means faster engine. :D

On a serious note. I know exactly where my times are suffering, but I can't seem to ever get the turns right. Practice makes perfect I guess.

I can't get my lines straight on bacharach and gambon, I either go too fast or too slow. I got hammerhead and chicago down. That white Kia theory may be right, but remember a red car always has more expensive insurance because it attracts attention to cops more thinking it's a ferrari, therefore making it faster.

Ive been able to get semi good at drifting it...
Idk how practical it is other than drifting because with the way the gear ratio is
You really only use 4-6 and you can pull out in 6th doing a burnout
The top speed is like 70... so..... yeah.. but it works for me...

Danny: your map is not right. The corners are labled correctly but the map itself is wrong if your gonna use it to analize it to improve your time. I used this or google maps image of the airfield which works better.

The first corner you need to follow my line and then perfect it. It was kinda sloppy but you'll get the idea. I think you guys are missing the apex and getting on the power too late and/or holding oo tight of a line through it. If you watch Jojo's replay, you can see he carried too much speed in and started sliding the car to compensate and his exit speed suffered.
When we get to chicago we have different lines. Jojo start wide and crosses in while I tend to stay tight and follow the "suggested line." I think Jojo has the right idea here but my method works as long as you can get on throttle quick enough and modulate it so that you A) don't lose traction and B) waste valuable time understeering on corner exit.
Hammerhead is a bitch. Just remember that turning while braking is a very bad idea on such a tight corner. Brake slightly early till you get the feel of it and you wanna split it up into two separate corners. The first part that veres to the left and the second part is the reducing radius right hander that leads onto the straight.
1st part: Make sure your off the brakes and cut the corner a little bit. You will likely knock over 1-2 cones but thats ok. As you transition to the second part you may need to TAP the brakes to transfer weight of the rear tires and onto the front tires to help rotate the car if you came in to hot to begin with.
2nd part: Stay smooth and again modulate the throttle to limit wheel spin and time killing understeer.
Your gonna have to shift from 3rd to 4th at some point before slowing down for Bacharach. You'll want to do it after Bently and make sure the vehicle speed is 90/91mph. Shift before bently and you'll scrub too much speed exiting the corner. I've tried holding onto 3rd gear but you bounce the limiter at 93mph and by utilizing 4th properly you can hit 95mph before laying on the brakes.
Bacharach and gambon.... Don't follow the "suggested line" through Bacharach! Cut in early and carry as much speed through it as possible onto the super short straight linking the two final corners. You'll have to slam on the brakes and take a poor line through Gambon by doing this and your exit speed will suffer, but since its only a few yards to the start finish line it doesn't matter.
NOTE 1: If your not using the clutch, your losing a substantial amount of time!
NOTE 2: If your using TCS or ASM, your losing a substantial amount of time (moreso than no clutch).
NOTE 3: If your using the clutch and not lifting to shift, your losing some time.

Unfortunately it is not. ONe reason why I never utilized it. But during back to back testing it is clearly faster (shifting and accel) with the proper technique.

Although any accident at ~120+mph isn't going to be pretty, this really isn't an accurate representation as the brick wall doesn't give any. If you were have a head on collision with another vehicle, that other vehicle will absorb some of the impact. Still an impressive impact regardless.
