I was either given a choice between getting rid of my dog or kicked out of my apartment.

My 8 month old puppy named Wooderson was given away to a friend so I didn't have to give him to the pound who said they were going to kill him the next day.

I never knew how hard it was to give up something you loved and raised. Now I understand how adoption feels and how the parents who are forced to give their kids up for adoption. It may not seem the same but I have never felt such sadness as I do today.

Just wanted to share... Thanks for reading.

I was in the same situation with my English bulldog, well not being kicked out of the apt but I had to give her up. She was 1 day to being a year old. I've since gotten another one though. A boy this time, I couldn't get over getting rid of her, it was like a void was there...weird. Sorry, for your loss but atleast a friend has so you can visit

My friend has him for just tonight until tomorrow when i find him a humane society that will take him.

I hate this right now. It's worse than losing a girlfriend or being punched in the nose.

Sorry for your loss. Parvo is very bad for young dogs. I always watched for that.

Have you tried PAWSAtlanta http://pawsatlanta.org ?? They are one of the largest no-kill animal shelters, and I've heard very good things about them!

Do you not have any friends who might want to take him off your hands for good? :( Or maybe someone on IA is looking for a good family puppy?!

I feel for you. I really do. /hug

We had to give away our jack russel/pug puppy after having him a month or two, it was very sad. But sometimes it just can't be...
