Everybody is going to be picking and choosing his words like they were CSI. ANYTHING he says that has to do with race will, by some people (racists themselves usually), automatically be considered a racist remark. He'll not be able to ever say the word "black" again and not be thought of as being racist. Later, QD.

exactly..so why he gona ask a question like that...idiot, be an undercover racist or something

I agree with you for the most part QD, but you really don't think that was a little uncalled for?

I think, if Imus wants to continue to have a career in the public eye, he needs to pick and choose his words a LOT more wisely. For the reason I mentioned above. In his "history" right now, yes, it was uncalled for. If he had a clean slate and meant the comment to be the way he says it was intended, then it would NOT be so much unnecessary. See what I'm saying? Later, QD.

Sammich

he was talking about pacman jones...he asked what color he was, the guy answered and said he was african american, then imus replied 'there you go'...something along those lines...basically..he should have left race/color/gender/nationality out of it, seeing his history

like QD, kelly and i have mentioned, due to imus' history, it is a touchy subject, something that imus should have left alone, but like a dummy, he went back to it and decided to get himself in trouble again..

everyone know that race is still an issue, its how u handle and manuevuer(sp?) around it, imus is not doing that..he's being retarded with how he talks about skin color:screwy:

You can't just fault Imus on that, though. Blame has to be placed all around. The idiots that think everything he says is racist should share the space as well. Later, QD.

yea i'm not going to sit here and say that its all his fault, but it is his fault for not being selective in his words, if he's as smart as he's suppose to be, he can improvise, am i wrong?

even at that, he could have elaborated. true i have not heard the whole thing when that was broadcast, but seeing how the news report read, he didnt elaborate at all after he said 'there you go'

Yeah its not really fair that his vocabulary is limited due to a one time semi-racist remark. This racist/reverse racism garbage is getting outta hand

Nope.

He did elaborate:

What people should be outraged about is that they arrest blacks for no reason," Imus said Tuesday. "I mean, there's no reason to arrest this kid six times. Maybe he did something once, but everyone does something once.

Later, QD.

true true.....i hear ya on that one!!!!!!! but how come when a white sports player gets in trouble we only hear about it like one time???? :2cents:......1

Sammich
06-24-2008, 11:14 AM
that is true...even when TO is doing other things besides actin a fool they still cover him, basically waiting for him to slip up...it just seems like..or maybe they are trying to give him attention shy away from the idiocies he has already done

Is it a stereotype if its true?

I mean this is a multiple felon, multiple problems with the law, hes a thug, and hes in the NFL.

I took it a another millionaire black guy getting in trouble with the law, not all black people are criminals.

Man people jump to conclusions

Yes Imus statement was racist. Then again Pacman Jones doesn't help it out either with his actions. Look at the dumb **** we do thats why we keep having these situations and comments made about us.

Shaq situation is a perfect example.

so wait, let me get this straight.

he said :

Imus asked, "What color is he?" Sports announcer Warner Wolf said Jones — formerly known as Pacman — is "African-American." Imus responded: "There you go. Now we know."

then said:

"What people should be outraged about is that they arrest blacks for no reason," Imus said Tuesday. "I mean, there's no reason to arrest this kid six times. Maybe he did something once, but everyone does something once."

someone please explain to me how this is worth talking about? from the story in the link i dont feel that him saying "there you go" is saying what people are implying.

nope sorry but pac man is a fuking idiot and there should be no excuse for his actions to get him trouble in the first place. I don't see anything wrong with Imus comments this time around
