any chevy powered BMWs?

sounds like a good project im fixing to drop a SBC into a corolla. the only thing stopping me is the mounts which is the hardest

i looked at a great write up on http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=733641 and the amount of engine bay room once the ls series chevy motor is in there is pretty much nothing.

I have seen pictures of 2 850 to chevy conversions. One even had a 6-71 blower sticking out of the hood. Seen a few early 5 series swaps and I just saw a early 3 for sale with the swap done, just not finished yet. I was thinking the same thing, or wap it into an old 74 2002 or something. I did a chevy swap on my friends Land Cruiser. Turned out great! Love some America power\torque

It's by far one of the best looking models but an electrical and mechanical nightmare....I'd love to strip one down and start over with an LS7 in it! :yes:
