Im also looking for someone to help me build a box for my new truck. Im good with everything about car audio expect for building a decent box. Mostly looking for a forum member to help with that, cause I noticed it seems like we have some members into SPL comps. Thats the type of person I need to help with the box.

what kind of box are you looking for?

what subs are you building it for?

what are you putting it in?

The site also tells what size box and all if you do some reading. IIRC it wants a 2.5 cuft ported box.

Its going in an 05 Tacoma X-Runner (ex. cab). Probably a 3500 watt RMS amp on it also.

I would typically charge about 150 for an uncovered ported box. Unusual shapes, glass, covering are all extra depending on what you want.

what exact model sub are you looking at? The ones in the link you posted are all 1kw rms. Unless you are looking to build a true SPL box then you obviously wouldnt put 3500wrms on it. I would also charge a bit more for an SPL box as it takes a bit more work to make it right.

Thats not too bad. Im getting the HDC3. It can handle 3500 RMS... been there, done that. Its very similar to a DD sub. Uncovered is what I want, just has to fit in the truck, Ive got a basic idea of how I want the box to sit.

that box would be very easy to build.

that box would be very easy to build.

Could you get the needed 2.5 cuft there and still be a ported box? could go wider or whatever.

But your right, for someone with the skills it should be easy enough.

Definitely a good choice.... Scott has repaired everything old school I would definitely say he is the best around.

He repaired some of my old school us acoustics and resonant engineering amps perfectly
