how to work a washing machine

i have to wash my hat tonight and i have no idea how to wash clothes much less wash a hat in the washing machine...anyways does anyone have any ideas?

damn son; lets see put the water dial too warm/cold, get a cup of soap, poor the soap in the washer and then turn on the washer by turning the other dial towards regular wash or whatever, and then pull the knob and bam!

if you like the bill rolled, get a rubber band, put a coffee cup on the inside or a large cup, put the rubber band on it, set it on the top center rack in the dishwasher, and run it on heavy duty :D cleans my white hat well

i typically just wash the hat in the washer, then dry once it's dry, i'll stuff the inside with t-shirts or something and leave it like that for a few days. if it falls i'll starch and iron it.
