insane crash at 300mph. Id have to say thats the worst accident i have ever seen with NHRA, just because of the speed of it all and the end explosion as well.

Wow...That has to be one of the worst ways to die....but then again, he was doing what he loved. Sad either way.

I'm sure he knew it... guys that do that for a living have an unbelievable "slow-motion" perception of time. It's like when we watch some1 sleep at the tree for what seems like years --- WE can see it b/c we are racers. But take your mom w/ you and she's like "they left at the same time" even if some1 sleeps for a whole second. In their minds those runs are in slow motion I'm sure. But all in all, I hope he had things in order for his family (if he has one).

dam..... i read the comments and it asked "why is there a wall at the end?" thats a good question...seems like a really really bad place for a wall.

I just heard about it this morning. Very sad. Great guy. But I agree with others... at least he had the dignity of leaving us doing something he loved, and is well remembered. I feel so bad for his family he left behind... especially his sons. :(

dam..... i read the comments and it asked "why is there a wall at the end?" thats a good question...seems like a really really bad place for a wall.Tracks gotta stop somewhere but with regular cars that looks like a long distance but going at 300mph.IF his shute would have not burned he would have slowed up some.I'd rather him be at peace then in pain in the hospital with tubes coming out everywhere. R.I.P
