i dont see why it would be illegal... if he was at the mall.. they are allowed to have dress codes.. and he didnt follow it and was even asked to change and refused.. I've seen the same thing happen with a guy wearing a hat.. except he ran hahaha

the supreme court has said in a few cases that obsene language and pictures are not covered under the first amendment. I will get my book out in the morning and get the actual case, but the cop was doing the right thing.

This is not official and just what I think but any establishment sets the perameters for clothing. You're free to walk the streets with the shirt but when you walk into say.. T.G.I.Fridays or any kind of establishment like the mall you are subject to their rules.

A high class restaurant reserves the right to kick you out for wearing jeans.. same difference in this scenario.

Your friend was a dumbass. He walked around the mall with a shirt that displayed obscene and vulgar language.

Not the brightest Idea.

Don't really give a fucck how cool the band is that came out with the t-shirt, at some point in your life you have to decide to grow up and be mature especially when it comes to your clothing.

Maybe next time he will think about what he puts on and how he acts in public.

Considering he was given the chance to change, he did actually deserved the consequences that he is facing

Bingo! The only reason to wear a shirt like that is to get a reaction, and it sounds like your buddy got what he was looking for. Dumbass.

don't see why it'd be illegal, he should realize that he's going to get attn wearing a shirt like that, good and bad. not sure about the detailed legal ramifications but they might even come up w/some sh*t like public indecency or something?

The shirt contained the F word which falls under obscenity, which is not covered under the first ammendment.

It's not that big of a deal. A friend of mine was asked to take his shirt off because it said "No B!tchassness" when we went bowling about 2 weeks ago. He jsut took it off. No biggie. I mean, imo, it sucks but I can understand.

I wouldn't care if someone walked around naked. But a mall I believe is Private Property and they can demand what they want. If you refuse you can go somewhere else.

Besides a shirt that says crap like that makes someone look like an idiot. Just wear a normal T-shirt and look like a real man.

Great shirt, Even better band!!!

Their new CD is ****ing awful. Completely unoriginal toughbuy bs, their last one was good. And I saw them with Darkest Hour(who was my main reason for going by far) at the Masq and I didn't want that shirt because the people who bought it are lame as hell. They dont get women or money so why wear the shirt? I hate **** like that when people try to make some kind of statement with a shirt like that. "Dude, check my shirt, I'll **** you up!" Dont be a retard and wear something like that at THE MALL?!!?

A shirt like that might was well say P*SSY REPELLENT.

Can't think of a girl who looked at a guy with a shirt that said "The Man (arrow pointing up) the legend (Arrow pointing down)" or other dumb attention getting sayings to have a girl look at him and think "Damn. I'd like to jump that right now". Ashton Cutcher was about the only guy who could pull that crap off but he has a few things going for him. 1 - Fame 2 - Model good looks 3 - boatloads of cash on his cigarette boat.

You better have 2 out of 3 of those things going for you.

Honestly...

regardless of the fact of it being irresponsible and illegal, if you must rely on a t-shirt to get girls or do the funny talking for you then you are a chump.

I feel bad for the kids who had to see his jackass walking around.

Thats just ignorance and trash that someone would want to display such. ESPECIALLY at a mall. Cop did the right thing whether or not it was the law or not. Jackass should have been respectful enough to not have worn it, or atleast changed.
