I'm gonna read this through before i sign it. It seems like a quick fix that might not really help.

Im also worried if we were to start drilling elsewhere or getting less oil from the middle east, they will drastically raise prices before we can equalize.

Can't support more drilling, it only validates our gluttonous attitude toward oil. You think a fat person deals with an eating disorder by eating more food? Oil prices are here to stay until WE change.. not them. They will keep building indoor ski resorts in dubai while we continue to consume their oil and fund the very ones we are fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Don't hit me with the we will be drilling for ourselves crap.. these are corporations not humanitarians. The oil we drill in the U.S now goes to other countries because it is a global commodity.. it does not stay here.

edit: Looked up these figures

United States Total Oil Production - 8,487,000
United States Total Oil Consumption - 20,697,000

We export 15% of what we produce with a shortfall of already 12 million barrels of oil a day, I doubt more oil is going to change that ratio.
