Anyone know anything first hand good or bad bout them? Contemplating on like gettin 5 lil 1.25'' ones. they r bout 5$ each so just curious. I know like they eat neons and stuff and in odd #s, but anything else useful?

WHat would you suggest for like a 20 gallon tank?

Illegal to own in GA w/out proper permits due to them being a fresh water fish and chance of being released in a lake or other fresh water areas... but imo awesome lil fish...

dont put em in a tank with a puffer fish = P puffer fish = 10x meaner than piranhas lol.

Eh, im stationed in Germany so its no big deal, sold at every pet store..lol. TY Hyper, that actually is good to know for future refference when i get a bigger tank.

lol. I am, just trying to figure out what to do. STill waiting for the water to de chlorify and gonn get a Sucker fish first to make the water perfect, considering this a long term investment as the present moment.

go for it - but be wary too - they're more vicious than an Oscar - and I once had my uncle tease my Oscars by holding his finger above the surface of the water... lets just say we both learnt that Oscars can jump...

Well.... I wouldn't suggest putting your hand in a bowl of piranha's... but from what I've seen they are made out to be alot worse than they really are... My friends dad (when i was a kid) was a fresh water fish seller, and he always had piranha's, puffer fish, all kinds of crazy fish.... and they never had any problems with em... like i said before, the puffer fish are the ones you need to look out for, bit the tip of my friends dads finger off lol...

i used to have piranhas in a 50gallon ..
put a live rat and didnt even touch it ..
so i took the rat out and cut the tail a lil bit ..
stuck it back in the tank and 5 min later it was bones ..
pretty kool watching dem eat ..

i used to clean there tank with a brush ..
didnt wanna get a chewd up arm ..
where they selling piranhas i want some !!!
