I crashed my rsx. And now i have 12k to spend. I was thinking of 2 things to do with the money. One is to buy another rsx-s, and the other choice was to buy a integra gsr,gs,ls and boost the motor with some good turbo(no ebay **** GTFO son)
What do you guys think, should i just buy another rsx-s or go with a cheaper and uglier car and boost the hell out of it?

Why do any of that??? Buy a shell and drop 2jz!!! Simple and done. If you can do it yourself, save half the money. Durh.

Insurance will pay me the money for the car, and they will take it to the auction i guess. So i wont be able to do what i want with the car. Plus it would be a hussle to fit the k20 into a teggy.

well most of the time you can buy stuff from the car for dirt cheap. well i would want to drive a kswap teg, but if not able to do i would get another rsx. the 06 model bc those things are pretty fast. you can make good power out of that motor.

Didn't you get a ticket for doing like almost 90 being under 21? Why don't you save your money up for a scooter being that you're about to loose your license, anyways. How the hell did you wreck the RSX anyways? You wanna waste all your money on something "just quick enough" get a bike and call it a day.

Buy an RS, it's ALOT cheaper on insurance and when you wreck it too replacing the shell will be cheap.

Do you what you feel like. If you loved your RSX to death...then get an RSX. If you want to explore into the boost world and have heard good things about it and the torque it gives, then go for it.
But if it was me and I had to choose between the two, I would definitely choose turbo teggy no matter what. Because with 12k, you could do soooooo much to a teggy, but with 12k, you could also just buy an RSX and call it a day for gas and reliability purposes.
Got Milk?
06-22-2008, 10:44 AM
I did love my rsx-s because it was so reliable. But rsx-s lack so much in torque wise. So after i did some researching on the WRX and relized that it has 200+ torque stock, i decided to go with WRX and upgrade some stuff.

how do **** do u lose hp if u add a FMIC? I will be new to turbo thing, so i will need alot of lessons on how to do the build the right way. And if i put a large tubo, wont i need a FMIC to support it. Well again, NEW to turbo stuff.
And about the guy with the DA, i know him. He was supposed to be putting a ebay turbo on, but than changed his mind.

Top mounts you'll have better throttle response but heat soak can be an issue, FMIC (or any IC for that matter) buy a quality one and you'll have no troubles. You cannot be cheap with a turbo car and expect it to
A.) last
B.) give you the hp gains you're looking for
C.) be reliable

on a stockish setup the topmount makes more power with the shorter travel for piping (?). you dont need the frontmount until you get quite a few more upgrades and you need something to get things much cooler. i remember this because i was looking at WRX's before I got my teggy

mm i think everyone on importatlanta would take a FD rx-7 over a WRX. DHAAA. lets see, rx7 are rare, wrx arent. rx7 cost way more than an WRX.
Well back to the topic. im planning on buying all good quality parts ofcourse. I wanna start off with a bigger tubo and a FMIC, DP UP, NOOZZZZ kidding.
Anyone have a fan site or a forum site for WRX. I need to learn more about WRX before i decide to do anything.

Maybe a E90 335 BMW(twin turbo).

LOL....how about you buy a stock Civic or Integra and just ride that out for the time meaning? With the way economy is going I wouldn't real want to blow all that 12k into a car. Im sure you can find something for 3k-5k around the Atlanta area. Put the rest in a savings and lets the money grow man. In a year you'd be surprised how much you'll have thanks to the interest.
IMO, that's what I would do but good luck with whatever you do.
