looks like the G35 is gonna be totalled... they are at $16800 in damages so far and Allstate pretty much said start looking for a new car. im only 95% sure its gonna be totalled... if it is totalled...

The only drop top car I'd rock now a days would be the S2k only because there is not other choice and it looks damn sexy with a hard top.

Hard tops are always an option, IE SC430, but that isn't a mountain car by any means.

Chris, you've seen my BMW and ridden it and you know that I'm far from a chick or a fag at that....The Z4 is a fun car and it has a fit and finish that is def superior to that of the Miata or the S2k..... Handles just as well as any car previously suggested in this thread. Not to mention that you can buy a hardtop, though a bit pricey.....

Also for all the naysayers, I fuked up a few s2ks in the time that I owned my car. I would recommend the 3.0. Add a supercharger and it's hella fun.

Now i have alos driven an S2000 and i have driven a Z4, my uncle used to own one. The Z4 is a PIG, its sloppy, an doesnt have anywhere near the fun of an S2000.

In a 1/4 mile race the S2000 is faster, but we can say they are dead even.

Go find track time of the Z4 and an S2000 an im willing to bet the S2000 is faster by a good bit.

Its overrated just like the Z3 was.

So being the educated individual that you believe yourself to be, you would be able to conclude that driving one Z4 would not qualify as an educated study / experience into the Z4, correct?


If by your own admission and facts that you so kindly provided, wouldn't logic dictate that the s2k would not walk all over a z4 as you stated? BMW offers just as good of a warranty for the Z4 as Honda does for the S2k. So that being said your logic is once again flawed.

In relation to this topic, i was advising the OP that IN MY OPINION , and also i provided factual data as well as personal experience, that the S2000 or a C5 Corvette was a much better buy for the money.

I still stand by that statement.

We may have been arguing about two diff things the whole entire time and not known it but it does not change the fact that the choice/opinion on what is better is subjective according to wants and needs in a particular car. There is no BASELEVEL S2k as you say, The car doesnt really have options, Hardtop is pretty much one of the ONLY options (Unless you add lip spoiler and rear wing) but the car pretty much comes with everything for the 34k price, No gimicky add ons like the BMW
