Zero Nostalgic Street Fighters' '83 Datsun Maxima v. groovin'

This ride is so G, to me.

1. It's an '83. Emissions? What's that?
2. You have to have AC in Hotlanta.
3. The amount of money that went into this car. :D I'll let Thomas or someone else chime in.
4. See pics... ...no, look again.
5. I love this car's surprise factor. :bump:

Toyota's response to this car was the Cressida. But right off the bat, it reminds me of those older FWD camries.
You will notice dings here and there--imperfections and the like. I don't care, it's a streetfighter...and doesn't play. Did I mention, it has AC? :D

I included the whole car in the :camera: , because I think capturing everything really shows the car's character.

suprisingly, I dont think it looks too bad. The pic that changed my mind from ugly to not too bad is the rear shot. You def. need to strip off that purple tint STAT!

dual su carbs? sweet, is that factory or added by you? is it 5-speed? i love the car, i wanted a diesal max like that, to save on gas. but diesal prices went way up, so why go for the slow one. does it talk to you?

Thanks for the props Everyone. We weren't sure how everyone would react to the car, but It was built on the cheapski out of all junkyard parts even the parts. Yeah, we got a new style "Junkyard produce" Yeah c'mon. It's an '83 but we took out the weak maxima motor and swapped in a 1976 280 Z FI engine, It's the highest horse L-series engine, and then we put a set of 1970 240z SU carbs to give it an Old Skool look under the hood. Removing the FI really cleaned up the engine bay. It is originally a 5-speed car wich is pretty rare for an old japanese luxury sedan. The car does have voice but it quit working. We've got some parts cars so we'll get the voice box out of another and get it working. This car has an "Evil Twin" in the works. 5-peed 280zx turbo t5-5speed and R180 LSD and the voice works in this car now. This car is the same color same dents same rust. It's gonna be cool.

I Know the cedric your talking about I think it was in Super street and was flat black with moon guages, and moon eye floor mats. That car was straight cool, all Streetfighter. In Japan they are taxi cabs! This car is really close to a Cedric but is mor akin to a Skyline r 30 or a Laurel

From my understanding, this car was put together with parts laying around. It is by no means a show car. It is, however, probably one of very few that you will see on the streets, locally.

It was built, all, for business and would tear a lot cars a new one. :D

This particular one was traded. There is another one in the stables, though. :yes:
