Thats a parts list from my old 2.0aba block swap. The block is from the mk3 jetta which is higher compression and more "rev happy" than the low compression fox block. Its a much better feel and power. The aba was rated at 115hp. Cams, header, head work on a big valve head, and some other goodies here and there should put you in the 130-145hp range pretty easily which is pretty good power for the car.

The ABA and 3a are probably the simplest of swaps. When you get into 16v and up scenarios things tend to get complicated....for some over complicated.

If your going for modifications the first thing i would tackle would be the suspension, id then progress to a trans swap if you dont already have a 5spd (psa trans code). Then id move on to the engine. My personal theories of a fox build differ from some of the more "power bound" fox owners. But if you have any questions ask away, i can help a good bit.

i saw you a few weel ago on holcomb bridge over 400 and that red lobster very nice car the fox that i got is a 4 door 5 speed 1.8 running good has a few dents on panel cleaning the inside ill be posting the fox up soon nice to meet you

going to drop the car find out why it's makeing a knock in the engine a friend drove it one time to the store and decieded to run the car but it a nice car to get me to work have a corolla ae71 and and a fox had a old bettle that was nice sold it
