the car is leaking oil from somewhere, but its an internal thing. and i'm pretty sure the head gaskets are gone since my sister has been driving it cause i don't have a license. it was fine when i drove it and then problems starting rising up, so i'm thinking she wad doggin the fvck out of it.

i'm lookin for a complete set so i can just redo everything in it.
its got a 160XXX miles on it so its about time for sh!t to start tearing up. i'm just tryin to get to it and do it all at the same time so i don't end up replacing something here and there over a few months.

Or just drop a small block in there... either way. :Di know the 350SB/lt1 will drop in and bolt to the tranny and i will have put a notch into the firewall for the dizzy to fit. but the amount and work and fabbing up the mounts i heard is a major *****. and with the way gas is right now i'm not sure if i want to put a 5.7l into it. it would be nice for sure though.

hmm... we just dropped a 327 in my buddy's 93 firebird... Don't believe he actually had to do any modding to it... Either way, you are right about the gas prices and bigger motor wanting to drink gas... ha

hmm... we just dropped a 327 in my buddy's 93 firebird... Don't believe he actually had to do any modding to it... Either way, you are right about the gas prices and bigger motor wanting to drink gas... hai know that some models of the v6 firebirds(i think 93-95) the tranny has the same bolt pattern as the lt1. and from everythign that i've heard from all the people i've asked, they all told me the same thing, that its a hassle to get to fit perfectly into the car and the dizzy hits the cowl in front of the windshield. it doesn't hit much, but enough. and if i do drop a lt1 into the car, it'll change a lot of the settings for it to, cause i'll be converting it from EFI to carb. which i don't have a problem with that, cause carburated(sp?) engines are a bit easier to work on.
and sinec i have about a month before i get my license back i was wanting to just rebuild the motor that was in it. that way if i ever do decide to put a v8 into it, i can have a fully built motor instead on putting it in and takin it out later to build it.
but really, i'm probably gonna rebuild the motor and try to sell it so i can get a hatch, although its coming harder to find since everyone one i know is wanting more than what i'm willin to give cause i got a full swap for it, my own suspension, interior....pretty much everything. i just need a shell to put it all on.
