Okay - I stopped by Superstar Customs today. It was a slow day, so I decided to whip out my **** and do all of your moms. Ok - kidding, but I crunk up the orbital to "finish" the oxidation removal that I started over a month ago. :) I grabbed some trusty Turtle Wax Premium Rubbing compound and went to work:

That was just the initial job. I will hand wash the car tomorrow, and then head back up there w/ more rubbing compound and redo the entire car again w/ more discretion.

After one more once-over w/ rubbing compound, I will wash, then go over w/ a polish in a few days. Then wash, then finish up w/ a high end wax. Then it will all soon be sanded off for a 2 stage flat black when I get some new rubber seals in from Scotts Old Rubber in Austraila - LOL. Enjoy.

Now - on to some other news. :)

While I was doing that, Bucky decided to take off my wheels and spray them w/ gunmetal wheel paint. Here is a quick before/after:

That is my spare tire (left unpainted) next to one of the "new" ones. After the paint, I stopped by a local tire shop to have them balanced and have the weights put on the inside of the wheels this time.

He also decided to polish out the Honda center cap to a high gloss as well:

The headlights on HI BEAM is about what most cars put out on LOW beam. I bought 2 regualr lights tonite, and I will have Superstar Customs paint those tomorrow (smoke), and then configure them for HIDs as well. So the lighting is still being worked out. It's not a death-trap by any means at night tho - ha ha.

I am seeing well over 40mpg when I drive like I have some sense... but I don't do that. :)

Coupla updates.

I had Bucky at Superstar Customs smoke out my taillights, front bumper lights, rear sidemarkers and reflectors. They go well w/ my black housing headlights IMO. All I need to do next is get new sidemarkers (front), and get those smoked as well:

The light output is great, and the look WILL look great when I get the 2 stage flat black laid (stay tuned).

Looking at the front of the car, I also came up w/ an idea to integrate some driving lights into the stock bumper. The bumper mod is a test-bed for now, but I do have 2 "refurb" bumpers over at a body shop getting straigtened and sruffed up in prep for paint. The bumpers will be flat as well. This "test" project for the bumper will be perfected using JDM EF9 lighting in the future... but I will lay some LAMIN-X smoke film over it to go w/ the flat theme --- I can see it all in my head and I think the finished product will be hot.
