Thermoswitch "?" Help!!!

I got a d16z6 motor. When car idle's, Fan kicks on and run bout 4-5 secs. Everyone who look at it says the fan kicks on pretty wierd but if it does kick on then Thermoswitch still works. I've been reading around and it comes to my mind. Does my car fan suppose to kick on by itself sometimes even when ignition not on? I seen all my other previous honda does it but this one doesn't, bad Thermoswitch possibly? thanx

yeah i used to have a d16z6 in my civic and it used to do that same ****. it shouldnt give you a problem though as long as your thermostat still works!
