Run 1 - Shut down, traffic. Watch the Prius on the right when we get on it though, pretty funny.

Run 2 - Viper jumped me by his admission. Said he was over thinking the honks and got ancy lol. I won this race by only ~2 cars.

Run 3 - Perfectly clean run. Perfectly equal start on both parts as well. Run was from 45 to 145mph and I won by ~3 cars(Viper claimed I got 4 on him, it looked more like 3 in my rearview mirror).

Viper is stock, my mods are in sig. Temperature during these runs was 93deg. I have some very extreme safeguards built into my tune when ambient temps get above 80deg that are ultra conservative by admission of my tuner. We are going to go back and dial them out so my car doesn't turn into a pig in the heat. I was roughly ~450whp during the runs below due to the requested timing pull my tuner had set up based on my IAT's in the 93deg heat. Chances are I can get away with 0 timing pull since I have a good ram-air intake that is sealed off from the engine bay. We will run them again after the retune.

Me too:( . I have been in touch with my tuner about how gutless my car feels when its hot and he said it is a very common problem and noted how he set up my IAT table in my tune. I told him I wasn't happy to only have "cam'ed" power in the winter. He told me to come back in on a hot day and we will log it/retune it to try to keep her more consistent. Don't know what else to do. I have verfied my power on Marietta Dynolab's dyno, so I know Vengeance wasn't bs'ing me with numbers

LoL I don't doubt your numbers warm weather kills all cars just thought turbo cars took more of hit =P. Plus I have seen 400whp cars beat Srt-10 Vipers......Still you won that's all that matters right?

Oh, I am not trying to give excuses(even though I am). I am just expressing discontent with the fact that my car just doesn't seem that fast for the hp it makes(or doesn't make). Hell, I would have expected to beat that Viper with just bolt ons. I will say that this particular Viper/driver combination did VERY well against a 590whp C5Z

Well maybe that's it , Driver Mod FTW ;) anyways you won. I still like your 385 hp 12.49 pass. I suck at driving 2700lb car + 405 whp = 12.8 @118 street tires 3.0 60' foot lol maybe the viper guy can teach me how to launch.

Yea, I don't know what to say. Maybe I have cylinder that is ****ed or something. I went 11's and 121mph w/ bolt ons, I should be at least 125mph with this setup(its peaky and I am actually down on power in comparison to my bolt on setup below 4k rpms).

BMW 760 something or other. V12 and 440hp. It was on it during the last race, didn't matter much. Got on Viperalley.com and apparently there are number of low 12sec/high 11sec 120mph to 123mph stock vipers on there(also, all of the fastest ones just so happened to be 2003 model years in vert. form :???: ). They also said that dyno numbers range from 420whp to 460whp bone stock, so it is entirelly possible that this was just a strong one as I only have an 80lb weight advantage that was pretty much offset by the fact that the driver of the viper is 140lbs tops lol. Who knows. Will be posting a vid of this Viper vs a 590whp C5Z soon.

It sounds like your high octane table was never copied over to your low octane table, which will pull a lot of timing @ WOT when it reaches a certain temp. I believe it may have seen so much KR that it switched over to your low octane table.

I found the same problem with my Z06 at one time it was pulling 10 degree's of timing @ WOT vs 24 degrees @ WOT.

So copy your high octane table over to the low octane table. We did not bother to mess with the displacement on demand tabs as there is no need to.

There again I'm not a tuner, but it worked good for me. :???:

Thanks for the heads up. I had thought of this, but surely thought Mike would have done this. Will run it by him to make sure as there is no harm in verifying

Can't. Right rear tire is flat and is off the car for getting fixed tomorrow. Maybe another day?
