ok i had a my tach go out the other day and it caused me to over rev

i DO NOT want this to happen again so i picked me up 2 sun tachs from autozone

how do i wire them both up so just incase one goes out i always have a back up?

kinda like the nascar style with 2 ignition boxes

omg just stop. Seriously.

Define "over rev"... you bounced off the rev limiter? No big deal.

L2Drive and you won't ever need your tach in the first place.

well stay with me on this..

what im hoping for is that i can mount one on each side of the dash so my passenger can watch the action as it happens..will the extra length of wire make the tach a bit off??

There is only 1 reason to need 2 tachs. That reason you dont need to know because you will never need 2 tachs

Tiger Racing Z100. you can get a couple different flavors: twin ZX12 engines or twin GSXR 1K engines. Google it. That thing is insane.

havent you guys ever had the passenger leaning all over the place trying to tell you when to shift? thats the reason

i dont like to take my eyes off the road so my co driver yells shift at the predetermined shift point..safety first people!

That has got to be the most retarded thing I have ever heard. I have never looked at the driver's gauges to see what RPM he shifts. Speed? Yes. RPMs? Never....just ask.

ugh.....ever heard of a shift light? No co-driver necessary...

You nkow, on second thought, You should do it, but you need twin 5" tachs. That would be the shiit...

First of all, you shouldn't be listening to your passenger when you're driving. I would say that I'd hope you were smart enough to know when to shift but given the nature of your posts I already know you arn't. So technically you shouldn't even be driving and you should be taking PhantomSilvia's advice by hanging yourself. The world would be a better place.

would twin 6'' tachs be too much on the dash?

No. Get as many as possible to mount on top of the dash, then double it and hang them from a mount at the top of the windshield. That will give you the widescreen windshield effect at the same time.

You should wear sunglasses at night if they have shift lights. When they go off they will blind you otherwise.

I want to have an HID shiftlight that points behind my car so whenever I hit the shift points my opponents know it.
