I know there shouldn't be much of a difference, thought i'd get a second opinion, just asking to try to save a friend some money. what do you think?

Only if he's putting some pr3 or p30 pistons in it as well. Other than that there wouldn't be much of a difference. He will be dropping about .2 in compression, could maybe even hurt the performance a little.

yea thats what I figured, its either that or rebuild his b16 block. hows that hatch? o and wouldn't that bump it up to like a 1.7L lol?

it will hurt comp more than anything

It's going slow ... will get it up and running in a month or two. (well hopefully)

But doing that will not affect the displacement, only the comp ratio. I'd go ahead and build a gsr block with at least pr3's and run a poor mans type r (with R cams that is)

my buddy decided to go ahead and rebuild the motor, maybe some type r cams, p&p, and a good tune, it wasn't the block like I thought it might be.
