since there was a Disturbed thread and people seem to enjoy metal here i figured id post a Dethklok thread. now give me your thoughts and none of that "oh they suck. nuff said" bullsh*t. give reasons. i personally enjoy them very much and plan to go to their show in July

yeah apparently i missed them last time came to Atlanta. i thought that tour was just going to be in the midwest cause of the first set of tour dates they released. but this time its not only Dethklok but Chimaira as well. so it shall be very, very epic

bahhhhhhhhhhhhh you like "them"? it is only one guy and it is funny death metal but really nothing that hasn't been done before; you can't compare this to the greats like Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Incantation, Morbid Angel, etc

well Dethklok is what they seem to be. Death Metal. but not too hardcore of Death Metal like Cannibal Corpse, Kataklysm, etc. they're more comedic than anything. but they're music is rather amazing. i recommend you check out the songs Awaken, Birthday Dethday and Go Into The Water

actually its Brendan Small doing the guitar work, vocals and bass work and Gene Hoglan doing the drum work so its more that one guy lol. but they have picked up a bassist and a rhythm guitarist that seem to be decent

Yeah, it is a hillarious show, but the music, for what it is, is actually very well pieced together (and the coffee add isn't on the cd, but Awaken, Thunder Horse, and the Deth theme are)

Yeah I prefer to support the artist and pay for my music... since I get a free update on my purchase (which I'll have to check to see if I can get those tracks for free), since I did w/ Puscifer's album I got a few live tracks and a video that I didn't get before, plus those extra tracks aren't on the real album since people can label things on limewire to make you think they were on there. and if I'm using a free media server I'll stick w/ my torrents

Dethklok is awesome. The music rocks but at the same time is hilarious due the to the tongue in cheek nature of the humor of the music.
