And no, I've been stupid and been buying parts for the next Miata before I have the car itself...so another two weeks and I should have enough to find one that runs at least a little bit. So close. Still got most of the parts from that Miata that I bought that had the supercharger on it. The engine is down to the bare block now and it's at the shop awaiting pistons/rods/bearings and valvework. Bought a set of Chaparrals for it too. Gold w/polished lip. The look just like Panasports but were designed specifically for the Miata with it's oddball 45mm offset.
