Weekend @ Barber - Don't have my car photos yet but got a fun trailer shot as well as my friend went down with me. Not really "happy" with the results as Barber is VERY strict on how close you could get. The walls and photo spots are REALLY far away unless you are the "photo guy" so I bought his photos. See how his turned out.

Had a failure on my car and picked up a misfire so it was put on the trailer early. Still got about 4 hours on track time so it was a good weekend. Got signed off on Saturday Morning and drove solo for the rest of the weekend.

You don't need any suspension work unless parts have failed ;)

Can't wait to see some shots of me out there! Just waiting on photo CD.

Easy. Just sign up for an event. You will need a valid drivers license though.

Should be about 2 hours from Atlanta. It's about 4 hours from me in Clemson. In fact, I'll be there in a less than 2 weeks for the NASA weekend.

To those wanting to get on track:

You will have to have a valid driver's license, as has been previously stated. Usually, you will also have to be a member of the hosting body, i.e. NASA, SCCA, BMWCCA, PBOC, PCA, unless it an event hosted by someone like Turn One Motorsports, Chin Motorsports, Seat Time, et. al. No special insurance is needed.

You will also need a car that is safe to get on track. Safe means that the brakes work, brake lights work, battery is tied down, etc. I track my basically bone stock 1990 Honda Civic hatchback with no problems. Sure it's slow. Really slow, in fact, but it's a lot of fun and a great learning experience.

The whole point in getting on the track.....AMEN to that!
