PM's returned...

And no thanks on the trades guys.

-1 +2 that thing should be a wheelie monster!! Sucks it won't keep up on the big end though w/ all that low end gearing.

The gearing is not that aggressive, it does like to snap up a lil in 1st/2nd but nothing that is not managable if you know how to ride. Not to sound cocky, but I know these bikes and especially this one since it is mine and i'll put $$ it will keep up on the big end with this gearing setup. Plus how often do you plan on going over 160mph? I personally am not a top speed run kind of person, I enjoy doing trackdays and playing in the mtns so top end runs do not float my boat. I've done plenty of comparison runs against buddies 600/750's and lets just say every 600 that rides with me has pretty much followed suit with this gearing setup because for the $$ you cant beat the extra snap you get. Sorry for the long reply, just dont like someone stating opinions unless they have 1st hand experience with the setup... :2cents: Thanks

how bout 4000$cash and the other 4 in payments??

The bike would stay in my possession until every dime is payed in full, paperwork could be written up and bike would not have a mile put on it if something was worked out. Thats the only way I would entertain the idea, PM me if you would like to speak further about it. Thanks...

Actually it isn't an opinion. I have 4 friends w/ 1000s-a 06 R1, a 06 GSXR 1000, a 05 CBR100RR, a 08 GSXR 1000. All of them have every bolt on imaginable and all have -1 +2 gearing. All 4 of them are better riders than me-I'll admit it but none of the bikes can pull me on big end. We'll do roll ons and they'll pull me down low but they're done up top. Their speedos will read 184-189 while mine will read the same(actually sometimes it'll say 191mph) but I'll be 5-8 bike lengths ahead and pulling strong up top. None of them have speedohealers so that's the inaccuracy of the guage cluster but gearing will hurt you one way or another. I'll probably do -1 to a 16t front sprocket on my R1 but I'll never do -1 +2 I've seen the difference it makes on top end!! Oh and in Atlanta you can pull over 160 almost on any straightaway on the highway. I'll come down some on ramps and I'll be at 97mph in 1st gear and I haven't even merged into traffic!!

The low end grunt on those bikes are a little too much for me. I'm not a wheelie man-if it comes up I'll ride it but I'm not pulling or clutching it up. I like the best of both worlds. To me in Atlanta you need both low end and some top end for the highways we have.

Sorry to whore up your thread!! Your bike is definitely nice and you've got some real quality bolt-ons(Arata). So good luck w/ your sale.

Well its official, I really have to "try" and get rid of her now...:(

$7,100 the way she sits, (no slip-on)
or
$7,400 with Scorpion slip on

The mileage hasnt changed at all since the original post over 3 months ago, except for maybe 30 miles.
