alright... this is my sisters 92 eg 4do... its the orig motor.

sometimes when you start it up it will run just fine. other times it will cut off immediately. when you drive it, it is impossible to keep it running, as soon as you put it in nuetral it shuts off. and if you try and give it gas at 1500-2000 rpms it runs awfully and has ZERO power, but as soon as you get the rpms up it will run ok, but then when back in nuetral its gone.

there is oil EVERYWHERE on the tranny side and on the front of the block so im thinking its a head gasket.

any other ideas where we should look. fairly recently the spark plugs, wires, and distributor cap have been replaced.

any help will be greatly appreciated and will be awarded with an interweb +2! woo.

no check light, but i think the wiring is all hacked up so it may not come on anyway, and the timing is advanced all the way on the distributor but i dont have a light to check the pulley.

it was towed to a shop last night so i guess its out of my hands now, but i will make sure my dad knows to make sure they check that before ripping that sad little d open.

i think they are going to work on it today so i'll let you guys know what happens.

Damn I hope it isn't wiring thats a ***** to chase down. I would just invest in another D series. Is that the original motor in that car.
