I just got a FAKE email from someone posing as EBAY and they claim the account in question is suspended, then the link takes you to a page to enter in your Credit Card info, Social Security #, and all info like that. BEWARE of this scam!! The address it has you click is not the same it takes you to, It takes you to a totallly different site that looks like Ebay.

i got one of those before too...i also got one where if you have ayahoo email, it ask you to confirm it using your credit card # and social, they even made the name of teh person who sends you it look like its from yahoo

I sent the email to the EBAY SECURITY CENTER but I dont want any of you getting tricked with this, so just be careful.

i get those things all the time. just delete them - they are trying to obtain your credit info. i am not going to mess with my account unless i get a message from them on my paypal/ebay account message center.

Would be helpful to not just delete them but to notify Ebay/Paypal so the people pulling the scams will get caught, because there are people out there who dont know computers and websites to much and will EASILY fall prey to them.

I cant beleive people still fall for that scam.

But on the other hand if you can open an EBAY account, Im sure you can smell horse shit a mile away with those emails... I hope atleast.

its called phishing..you could report it to ebay..but its been going on for a while now so they are aware of it and so are all the credit card companies and paypal.

^^ Yeah I did report it and they emailed me back telling me they informed the proper people. I know it snothing new, But I wanted to keep people aware of the new one going around, This one looked just like the Ebay site, and if people dont pay attention to the site you click and the web address it actually takes you to, some people may not catch it.
