1200 or CVCC?

I've noticed that every time someone sees a first generation Honda Civic, they automatically call it a CVCC. Just to let everyone (that doesn't know) know, there were two different trim levels of Civic back in the 73-79 era. There was the regular Civic which had a 1200 engine in it and the Civic CVCC, which had the 1500 engine.

Notice the differences in appearance. Mine has the raised hood scoop whereas Baby J's has a flush air vent set up. Mine also has a CVCC badge in the lower right portion of the grille. These two items are the quickest way to tell the differences. Later, QD.

Nope. The car was built in Japan. Thus it was made for RHD driving. The antennae was mounted there for the driver to adjust. Just like the hood release latch is under the dash. In the center of the dash. Later, QD.

My grandpa had a 73 or 74 CVCC that he drove in the 70's. For my whole life the car has sat in a barn until about 3 years ago when my dad sold the barn and everything in it. I was able to get the 70 AN600 out of it, but was not able to get the CVCC in time. I wish I would have since it was in much better condition than the 600....
