mr gasket used to have what they called the beast crate engine. but you could build one for what they wanted to charge that would make more power.

and 11k means nothing theres no need to turn a engine that high ever no cam on the market makes power up there

Slow Motion MMX

* I personally know Joshua over there, and they have one of the best crate programs out there. Crate programs work best ($) when you do supply your own block --- remember that.

http://shop.slowmotionmotorsports.com/search.cgi?keywords=crate&Click+to+Search.x=14&Click+to+Search.y=17

Also --- call the guys over at www.dh-racing.com (http://www.dh-racing.com/) I have never worked w/ them, but I have not heard many bad things from them out of the ordinary gripes. I can NOT vouch for them.

www.importbuilders.com (http://www.importbuilders.com/) --- good guy(s) over there. Has blown sh*t up, and has some miracle motors that have lived way longer than expected. Ask a lot of questions.

http://www.theoldone.com/ -- love him or hate him, Larry is a genius. Enuff said.

PS: at the end of the day, you can put a nice "mutt" block together for a cheaper price-point by picking and choosing diff shops for diff things. That's good AND bad, and in that case make sure that ea builder knows his sh*t and knows that specs of the other pieces of the pie or you are gonna wish it came together at one builder.

good luck

Good 1 Mike. +1

And some1 who is a bit slower, but gets sh*t done:

www.stewartengines.com (http://www.stewartengines.com) -- if your money is long enuff for Endyn, then give Jim a call here. At the LEAST, I have not seen better pricing for serious heads (that WORK AS ADVERTISED) as I do here. You CAN beat Jim's pricing on bottom end/machine work/assembly - but his heads are the real deal and the end game as far as I am concerned.

You can't argue at the numbers (dyno AND ET) from their old CRX. And if you remember, the year that Civic hit 10s there was only 3 others in the nation that did it (w/ proof) that year. If he has fell off I can't vouch - but if you've been around long enuff they were leading the way back in the day. One of the 1st shops that ignored the H series back when all the pro guys were running H series.

^^ No - different guy. But that car was NOT cut up when it went 10s - it was a true street car for quite some time. I don't know them that well - but I can't remem them campaigning the car as a street-car for a long time... not really sure.

yeah he used to keep the back covered with something to keep people from seeing the car was cut up in the rear. a few people got pics of it one time and he acted all pissed about it.

I think that the DH CRX was not a street-car anymore when you were talking about him "cheating" --- it was probably known as a dedicated track car by then. Now - whether he lied and said that the car wasn't cut up or not I'm not sure... but that is beyond the scope of this thread... he is capable of putting some serious blocks together... cheating or not. :)

i wasn't trying to argue but if you get on honda-tech and search about 50 threads come up just about dave hickman and how many time he has scammed people

Look at how many MSPi threads where people got "scammed" when they really were just uneducated on what they were asking for, or just blew sh*t up on their own. It's the nature of the web. What happens is what is happening in this thread... people "heard" this or "heard" that and are coattail riders. If you want to find an unhappy customer, it's easily found on the web - and the prob is that happy customers do not have time to make threads on the internet b/c they are out enjoying their rides. As I said in my initial post, I can't personally vouch for DH - but I can easily get you the email addresses of people that can and will. I'm just trying to help the OP get it done... that's all.

PS: I know you were not starting an argument... just discussion.
