First things first ive been researching for the past few hours to no avail so i think ive earned the right to post a thread.

Ok so here is the deal i just swapped an 02 j30(accord v6 motor) and 02 wiring harness into my 99 accord ex, i also picked up an 01 ecu, because the 98 and 99 v6's had spark plug wires, but the 00+ have coilpacks. well everything is dropped in and wired up and the car wiil not start, which i alraedy knew would be the result, because of the immobilizer system (it requires a chip in the key to coorespond with the ecu).

so i was wondering if anyone knows how to bypass the immobilzer system or if anyone knows how much it would cost for me to get it recoded.

please shoot me any ideas or help thanks alot.
Tim

ha ha thanks for your input bro. i actually do have it up on honda-tech.
i called honda they said they'll re-key it for $107 including tax and labor, so i think i may just do that opposed to run the risk of f.uckin something else up trying to rewire my system

Formally...

That is about your only option. We have done a few swaps that needed the keys redone and we had to take the car to the dealer. I don't know if they can do it without the car or not. Normally charge about $100 to do it. Good luck.
