Is this still set or is it cancelled? I am almost in Athens but it would be a nice drive and would make for a good day if you get a pavilion or a grill section so we can all cook out, etc.
We drove 2 hours today to hang out with some good people and don't mind driving 45 minutes to an hour to spend the afternoon relaxing with good company.
Someone update this and let us know.
Thanks!

stone mountian is damn close to south gwinnett. maybe about 15 min west. I drive all over the place to go to meets, I really dont see what the big deal is. Everyone has been wanting to get a mustang meet together and then when someone finally steps up to the plate and sets something up, everyone complains that they dont want to drive 45min to get there. Cry me a river, build a bridge and get over it...
The only ones that I can really see complaining about the location would be Bugman (who isnt complaining at all) because he is on the Athens side of Monroe and Ant because he is in braselton. Shiit, I drive 25-30 min just to get to the sonic meet on thursday nights and thats after a long day of work and having to get up @ 5am the next morning. This is gonna be a Saturday affair where you get to cook out in a nice area. You guys need to change your panties...

Agreed, if you want to ***** about gas prices, you shouldnt have bought the car you drive. You knew what you were getting into. Thats why a lot of these meets are failures...because people are too lazy and if isnt in their backyard they dont go.
I'm there. Want me to bring some regular BBQ or Korean stuff?
DieselNuts

Map quest says an hour and 14 minutes from my house to the park entrance. Straight down Hey 78 (RED LIGHT HE11) for us. :)
However we will be there if possible and right now it is looking really good. If the weather stays like this it will be an awesome day to knock the dust off a few of the cars.
Now is this going to me like most import meets and every type of car is allowed but based for Mustangs or is it Mustang specific?
I have a few stangs that we can drive so I am not asking for us but from a few of the comments on here I am thinking there may be a few others that would like to attend that do not have a Mustang. No sweat of my back either way. ;)
Just curious.

Honestly, its really prefered to bring your Mustang (Cobra, S197s, SN95s, etc ,etc) Its up to the person coming to really decide if they want to go, but honestly I wouldnt drive my GT to a Honda meet just out of decency lol
Bugman, Id love to see your rides and meet the "man" in person.

Ha Ha we actually had one in our backyard and to be honest it was awesome...
Bonfire, swimming, shooting pool, hanging out, checking out every ones cars/trucks, etc. Relaxed, good food (everyone pitched in really well), and great people.
Hell we had a small crowd of some great people show up from S.C. to hang out and they said they would return for the next one. If I am not mistaken they said that they drove right @ 2 hours to get here. Go figure.
Not bit@hing just complimenting them on their dedicated enthusiasm for cars and participation. :goodjob:

I agree and understand completely but we drive ours to the import meets to hang out with our friends. If we had imports I would drive them but... that's another story all together.
I am nothing impressive... Just another fat old man trying to get by. :D

Ah well. Maybe I'll make one later this year. It's too late for me to plan to drive up there this weekend.
I would probably want to trailer the Cobra to save on gas. Greasel FTW.
