Dr, Ron Paul. Republican. Ideas to some who seem out of whack. But are we the ones who are accustomed to the normal whackiness? I think so. If he were to go independent, I will vote for this guy in a heartbeat. I could care less about "combing the fat out" and maybe I can wait later on for a "change". This is the man I'd vote for, any day of the week. Hands down.

Wow.

When I figure out how to do this REPS thing I'm gonna REPS you.

Very good thread.

That's who I'm voting for. He's the only one with changes in mind that will actually benefit America instead of shoving the word change down our throats like anything will be accomplished.

It's the justice scale in the right hand corner of each post. I take it that you like Ron Paul as well, huh?

Punch yourself in the face.

He's not a presidential candidate anymore.

I wish that he had an actual chance of becomming President, I agree with EVERYTHING he says other than his views on the war. EDIT: which is one of the most important topics to me

The liberals think that they can fix our economy with more taxes, etc etc etc. The only way to fix our economy is with the FAIR TAX

^^ I actually agree with him too. He made really good points. Yet it seems that everyone is in it to better themselves and maybe some of the economy. I don't too much agree with both candidates (notice I left the woman out of that) but I can agree more with Barack and being that Ron Paul isn't running, he will do. Some people who I've spoken to who said that they'd vote for Barack no matter what the situation was. I consider myself to be an indepedent voter and if I have to vote republican, I will because that's just what I feel. I'll feel easier by voting for Obama, but let Ron Paul show up as an independent.......

He has good principles, but some of the ideas i disagree. Like legalizing drugs and eliminating the draft. I dont see a need for a draft, beceause when the time comes for defending your country, people will always join to fill the gaps. But what happens when the mars aliens come and our military has already been down sized, and half our 18-25 year olds are tripping balls?

Lol, I was about to jump on your case until I got to the last sentence of that :D

I'm very cool with Ron Paul and honestly would consider voting for him if he runs as an independent. Sadly, I feel like his ideas are too far from the norm to get him a major party nomination anytime in the near future.

^^ Maybe we are too far from the norm and he is the one who has a clear head on how it's supposed to be? Maybe we we are so brain washed to the point that we will settle for anything. Forced into being scared for our lives to the point that we want to rely more on the government to tell us what to do? We can't make a call without someone listening in on our calls and the government says it's all legal until sometime this year. Bush isn't having that. We all are blinding and I'm glad that there is at least one person in the game who is so willing to change things the way things is supposed to be. But in reality, Ron Paul wouldn't be very liked by big businesses. Other government parties would find ways of trying to get rid of him. That's the change we need but the way our crooked politicians won't allow that to happen.

I did and it couldn't be any clearer. McCain worries me. He worries me in the sense that Bush will make his 3rd term. Bush is being ran by money. And lots of it. If you have enough money, you can make your choice as to how you want things run. Say what you want but McCain can't do anything for me as president that Bush hasn't already done and won't continue to do. That's my decision.

i was sorta serious. if theres a time when we need the draft, then you better believe some serious **** is going down. but if theres some serious **** happening and no one joins the military, then the country is ****ed. i was using "aliens from mars" so i wouldnt use the name of some other country making assumptions. Most countries its manditory to serve 2 years in the military.

The draft is nothing to worry about, if your worried about beind drafted, then you need to be more scared about the reason for it (enemy troops paradropped on eastern coast?)

The US was in no danger when the Vietnam draft occurred. I'd like to think that the government learned its lesson, but recent political history makes me rather pessimistic.

vietnam was a waste to the draft privilege of the government. i support the draft only when its for national preservation, not as a tool to carry out a politicians agenda.

so i agree with what you said, and yes vietnam put a bad taste in people's mouth when i came to the draft. but there might be a time when the 2 options are: usa gets invaded or draft. yeah it will be a long time before someone tries to land an army on our beaches, but.... like a boyscout... be prepared.
