do you have a make you really never cared for but after you drove or owned one you gained appreciation for?

for me it is mercedes benz...

i bought a c230 kompressor a while back and i throughly enjoy this car. never had one issue, drives like a dream and i beat the sh!t out of the supercharger as much as possible. now after seeing the new C series i'm really impressed i really would love to upgrade; i think all of the new models from the c300 to the c63 amg are just f'n sick! :goodjob:

any makes you feel the same about?

well.... i use to not much care for the evo's.... like when the evo 8 was the newest thing out... i didn't much care for them...

but the body grew on me more and more... then i've driven eds a few times now.. and i love them..... i guess that's about it... but that's not a make.. just a model....

Sometimes even simple things like the wheels the car comes with can set a car off so nice that it makes me want it along with performance and style

oh.. another is the honda element... the first gen....

absolutely thought they were the worst thing i'd ever seen...

then i rode in a few.. and the inside made it more appealing.. i drove one a couple times too and liked how smooth it was... again.. that's a model.. not a make.. but still same concept...

I didnt care much at all for evos, hated 'em. After driving and getting to "know" them they are great reliable cars. I wont ever appreciate German cars. When you work on cars, you dislike more and more cars. haha

MB too

Thinking about getting a C32, after seeing the C63. Don't want to pay $65K for the C63 right now because in 3 yrs I can get one for $25K

The 1st gen Scion xB's. I never cared for them at all, thought they were just weird looking.. not necessarily ugly, just weird looking. Then my best friend got one and we went on a drive and my mind completely changed. It was one of the most comfortable econoboxes I've ever been in, and there were a bunch of cool little accessories and hidden storage compartments on the inside... not even to mention the fact that there's cargo room for years. We went on a ride out to Commerce and back and by the time we got back I loved it.

i think all of the throw back models and new retro designs are hot! not including big american muscle. i remember when the PT came out i was like WTF; finally between the mustang, charger, challenger, camaro, etc american cars are becoming more appealing as well. i would totally rock a challenger specially for 37k w/ 425hp 6.1L HEMI :D

there are too many blindspots in the Elements due to the split doors... I'm looking at the new TDi Jetta or I might say screw it and go for a new S4

Volkswagens. i used to make fun of them (a lot) and said they were were girly cars and are overrated and have random electrical problems, but after driving some i have truly changed my mind.

horsepower per mod and fit and finish is impeccable, granted it is viewed as girly to some but fuk it. i had a pink prelude so this is an upgrade. :lmao:

Muscle Cars... I love GTOs, Mustangs, anything with a V8 and RWD. Ive always liked them but never owned one. I came from a boosted AWD car as well.

Honestly, I want a Challenger for my next car.

I was going to type a contributory reply until i sequentially read post #20 and 21.

anyway..

I really disliked the Honda brand a before the turn of the century. After running projects on a few, i've gained respect for the automaker.

Fun cars, but they can be a pain in the ass to work on.

I have a lot of respect for Volvo's after owning one. It was my first FWD car (850 GLT) but it drove like a dream and had amazing creature comforts. But you can never go wrong with a good ol' rwd v8! :goodjob:
