i cant figure out what is wrong with this car its a 93 hatch. the car acts like it is not getting enough fuel when you press the gas it acts retarted like it doesnt want to go until you get over 3000 rpm. its getting compression, timeing is fine, has brand new plugs, wires, fuelpump, distributer, rotorbutton, fuel filter,i have even nocked out the cat just to see if that was it the cat was clogged a lil car cranks fine does not smoke the least little bit doesnt leak either any ideas????
the only thing i can think of it being is a lobe on the cam shaft in worn but how d@mn common is that on a d15 someone help me out here

Ok, so you're saying that it bogs when you apply pressure to the throttle and then at around 3 Grand it acts fine. Well if it was shooting out a cloud of smoke I would say it's your pistons and or rings.

Does it idle pretty rough, like a consistant up and down?

Sounds to me like a piece of valve broke off or just disentigrated*.. And yes, i've seen it happen many times..
Do a compression check.

firing order is fine it idles as if nothing is wrong timing was checked with a timing light
belt was also checked for missing teeth anything that could be wrong i am starting to think it is internal and no it does not smoke the least little bit

When you checked it with the timing light did you go by the red strip or the white strip on the crank pulley
