Did you guys check if you were even eligible to get a rebate? Assuming you guys are single, I think anyone with an AGI under $65K gets $600, while it goes down to $300 until an AGI of roughly $83K. After it, it's zero, zip, zilch, nada, nunca.

I recieved a letter in the mail about a month ago stating i would get one. However i just found out today if you used some type of filling software (i used tax act.com) Then your return might not be coming until mid june. The reason behind that is thier program wasn't set up correctly and didn't start sending direct deposits for some types of tax software.

if you took out the cost of the tax prep out of you taxes the tax prep people gave you a refund loan and seized your refund.... so what the irs did was eliminate depositing the funds into the third party and is sending you a check.... when you do that the irs doesn't get your account number the bank that gave you the refund loan gives them theirs:goodjob: so look at the schedule for paper checks and go by that schedule

Thats not very fair... Why can't it be $600 for everyone. Even people who make $90k a year can use the extra $600 with gas at $4/gal and inflation on the rise.

I see your point but that would probably raise more questions about our government dishing out money to folks who really don't need it. As it is, we're in trillions of dollars of debt. But yeah, I'm a bit miffed at not getting $600.

But in a lot of places where the cost of living is FAR higher than in GA, $90K is not wealthy by any means. We have an amazingly low cost of living here. And why not give anything back to the people who pay the most? I can barely believe how much income tax I pay.. it's sickening. Getting older, more experienced and moving up in the job world does have it's downside.

Besides, wouldn't people who aren't worried about paying bills and the essentials be more likely to spend the money on the frivolous things that will boost the economy instead of just paying bills or saving it?

I havent got mine, but I could care less. Its better to manage ur own stuff then rely on Bush for extra funds. But if I get it, I'll say YaY or somethin.

I didn't get a tax loan or anything it was just an online e-file direct deposit. Ive heard there was an issue with the irs when using a tax prep program.
