figured everyone argueing over price and tires etc could use this. just to get it out of the way.... base model comes with Dunlops, not the Bridgestones, and ALL GTR tires are factory nitrogen filled. ok heres the data. and hp was the dynojet at R&D at K&N.

all is as tested:
power: 507 hp at 6800rpm
torque: 500 lb-ft at 3200rpm
redline: 7000rpm

accelleration 0 to mph:
30: 1.2
40:1.7
50: 2.4
60: 3.2
70: 4.2
80: 5.3
90: 6.5
100:8.0

1/4 mile: 11.6 @ 120

breaking:
60- 0: 105 ft
100-0: 280ft

lat accell: .97g (average)
figure 8: 24.3 sec @ .81g
top gear revs @ 60: 2210rpm

NOW FOR THE MOST ARGUED ****:
PRICE AS TESTED: 70,475

BASE PRICE IS LISTED AS THE SAME BUT INCLUDED WAS THE$2050 PERFORMANCE PACKAGE WHICH WAS THE BRIDGESTONES AND HEATED SEATS, BOSE AUDIO ETC.

now we all know. i have to say though, the "nav screen" which tells you which gear is best for performance passing and gas mileage by colors and all the cool ass other **** it reads is pretty damn baller.

well considering the screen and interface was designed by the guy who designs gran turismo it better be good.

you also forgot the 50k mark up

the markup is supposed to be from 15k - to the extreme of 60k..

BUT the car does cost 70k from nissan...which is a crazy deal everything else is out of their hands!!

i dont necessarily think its over priced. what other cars under 80k run mid 11s stock? awd and 500whp with a warranty is pretty awesome if you ask me

Yup. I have read a few different places that the GTR could be marked all the way up to $129k.

then they aint selling any lol

the average is a $15,000-20,000 mark up for the first 6 months.

Most of the cars are already presold. I think they only made 1000 units this year. So if you arent on a waiting list the car is gone or spoken for.

NExt year you should see them start selling for sticker or close to it IMO

friend of mine works at Nissan Mall of GA and he said all nine were spoken for the week the began preselling. The First one Will go to Mr. Sutherland the Owner. He didnt tell me how much they sold for though. Im going to make a phone call. they sold for between $80k and $90k.

GTR's would definitely still sell for 100k. I'm not too into exotics or anything so I might be wrong but other than a zr1 you still wont come too close in that price range performance wise.

The only problem I have with the GTR is that the low price shows when you look at the interior/exterior. Sure the performance is awesome for the money, but if you dont have the rest to back up its "better than a Porsche" claim, you may as well just build a super fast civic. It's the same idea. ****ty overall car with great performance. This car will not affect the sale of exotics and other sports car, GUARANTEED.

I think the most impressive number out of all of those is the torque number and that its made so low in the RPM range. The car is impressive, no doubt, but for my money, I would rather have the ZR1.

If I bought the skyline, in terms of performance uprades, I would do exactly what Nissan want buyers to do - nothing.

That's actually disappointing, they should make at least 10-12k when you consider the mark up.
