figuring out what kind of amps i have

i'm no audio expert, so please bear with me.

i have a california jam amp powering my speakers, and my dad just gave me his old pioneer GM-x702 2chan amp. i have no idea which one is better in terms of wattage/ohm output. how do i find out?
