this car has been sitting in a junkyard for some time now. they just started the build on it maybe 2 or 3weeks ago.

ae88 is the same as an ae86 just different years.

wheels are drag dr-20 special fitment, they were looking for something inexpensive but good looking. they repainted the center to match the vc's and other parts.

the motor is a 4ag the supercharged version but converted to turbo, t25 turbo. I will find out the rest of the info and post it later this week.

I would like to say thank you CD5accord for getting the pics out, and the car should be ready for D1 so come one and all and see it, Yes it is a GZE bottom end with a large port head, it has camber plates, qa1 front strut inserts, new tie rod ends, ball joints, and front drag bushings, I have not been able to get out and get all the pics on here but when after this weekend i should be able to post all the befor and after, gotta go if im gonna have this thing runnig by friday. thanks again
oh btw its a 85 ae86, CD5accord was looking at the vin # where it says jt2ae88 not the information plate where it says that ae86

Still can't get the car to stay running once it cranks. It acts like it has a bad ground, or a bad fuel pressure regulator. I'm about to flip out, cuz I wanna drive this thing. Paint, wheels, tires, interior, and engine have been done for almost a month, and we've been chasing our tails over this one "small" gremlin. Oh, well, maybe we can have it ready for the old skool meet at the dam or the athens sonic meet.

I did all of the paint work on the body, the wheels and the engine. my friend John did all of the mechanical work. We have a small garage in Auburn that we've been trying to grow into a business. (Zero Nostalgic Streetfighters) we build and sell old skool import cars.

The car wouldn't run because one of the wires in the engine harness was bad. We finally found it and the car is running. We should be finishing up the hydraulics and a few interior pieces today and tomorrow. Then finally out for a test drive.

A Gts corolla will read "JT2ae88 on the vin, but on the chassis it reads ae86.
a sr5 corolla will read" Jt2ae86 on the vin, but will also read ae86 on the chassis plate

It's not even like your quote. I couldn't get some sh*t right with my camera when the original post went up, and like 4 people negative repped me right from the get go, and then the post was removed. A friend of ours posted this up using some photos from his camera phone at first, (by the way thanks cd5 for getting this post started!) and I finally got my camera software loaded. stock 4-ag with larger injectors and the air flow meter turned up about 6 clicks. She runs rich at idle. We've got a mega squirt unit, but we wanted to hear it run before we squirted it.

I ran a basic FMu set up on an old largeport in my 89 MR2. inline 255 pump, to RRFPR, Supra turbo 365cc injectors. it always ran like crap.....megasquirt would definitely be an upgrade :yes:

We drove it out to Sonic. It pulls hard and we haven't even been more than two thids in it and are only running 5 pounds boost to shake it down. It does run hella rich at idle, but she seems like she's gonna hold together.

I haven't posted anything up on this thread for a while, but I think we finally have all of the gremlins worked out of the car. We drove it to the Old skool meet at Ft Yargo and a few miles around town this weekend with no problems. Just a few little pieces to to reinstall in the interior, and a radio and a lil bit of beat and she'll be finished. The first picture is of the Ft. Yargo meet. (i've gotta find a better picture from the meet.) The second photo was at The Dam Old Skool Meet. (We had some problems with the car that weekend.)
