need help for buying new tires

well, i just bought my first suv... why, i dont know. (went from a civic to a mitsubishi endeavor limited... big gas difference) but i need to buy new tires for it but i dont know what a good suv tire is or what to look for. as mentioned before, ive always had small cars. can anyone help me out and give some sugestions or help. thanks alot,
