me and my lovely lady were just conversing on the phone and me being who I am, I spark a random conversation. I said to her " baby, i was thinking... where the hell did you shop before wal- mart" trying to be funny because her .. my grandmother.. and her grandmother can live in wal-mart while i sleep in the damn car.

he response... I dont remember.... all I know is wal-mart....

then i got to thinking.. damnit.. I can't remember nothing other then wal-mart.. its like it erased my shopping past lol...

so my question is.. where did you shop before the one stop shop known as waldo world

Before Wally World, back in the early '80's there were smaller department stores. The one I remember is Woolworths. Pretty much the same size as a Fred's or a Dollar General but they had quality products instead of junk.

There were also Mom & Pop stores... lots of them. You could go one place for clothing, another place for food/household items, another place for sporting goods, etc.

I also use to work at bilo, here in statesboro though. cheap ass place tried to pay me 8 cents below minimum wage, then i found out i was being ****ted, then they raised it to minimum wage.. one night i was stocking, i completely screwed the whole inventory system up. me and 3 other guys that worked nightshift all quit at the same time. we left the pallets in the middle of isles, put everything in wroing places. took us about 4 hours but so well worth it.

i still don't shop at walmart... in maryville (where i live) at night, the entire homosexual population seems to congregate at walmart. i'll take some pics if i'm ever in there again but last time i was, in the automotive section there were two overweight lesbo's making out and two of the boys were dry humping each other in lingerie... it's freaking nasty...

i shop at smaller stores.. i'll drive 3 towns away to avoid walmart...

I hadn't been to a Walmart until I started visiting my parents who have moved to GA not too long ago. So I've only known about Walmarts for the past 2-3 years.

Up north in NJ/NY, we shopped at Shop Rite, A&P, KMart, Marchelle's, and of course, the 11ty billion malls that spam all over the state of NJ.

Oh, and The WIZ for electronics! I don't know if they ever had them down south, but they had the most obnoxious commercials on the radio; "Nobody beats the WIZ! Nobody, nobody, nobody beats the WIZ!"

Edit: Oh, and when I moved to Manhattan, I shopped at expensive Associated because they were the only grocery stores around my area. >:(
