These where pre-production models as the car is still a few months away. The silver one was a Turbo-4, while the red model was a V6.

I gotta say the seats where nice and supportive and the car fit my 6'4" frame very, very nicely. I was shocked, as I don't seem to fit well in many asian automobiles. to Hyundai, looks as if this is going to be a great product for them.

BTW don't even make comments about the interior plastics as it was a pre-production model. Mmmmkay?!

..................................

I would take this over the Altima/Accord/Solara/G6 coupes any freaking day of the week

looks alright, even if the gauges look kinda out of place/simplistic and not fitting the rest of the interior...that and they obviously stole the styling from nissan/infiniti/maserati and probably some others i can't think of right now

I really wish they would have kept the styling of the newer Tiburons, when I see it I just think of

http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/autoreview/400x266/1997-2001-Hyundai-Tiburon-98803031990107.jpg

And I saw it in person at the AJC show and thought the same thing.

sorry O.P I think anyone would rather have that in a 6 speed turbo 4 or V6 over a grandma Solara anyday..and G6 to for that matter.

looks nice and the red exterior fits the car. The two engine options was a good move on Hyundai's part.

It's amazing how many people are too shallow to look past the badge since it's a Hyundai, but if you were to put a Ferrari badge on a lump of dog poo they'd be all over it.

Car looks pretty good. Not a fan of the euro-tails and I still think the bottom front grill looks goofy. Still, I'd like to see one in person and give it a test drive. I really hope this car changes people's biased perspective about Hyundai.

I'll add it to the list of cars I want to own in my lifetime. lol

I hope the aftermarket picks it up quickly and puts out some good parts for it.

I think the drawings looke meaner. With a few changes though it would def look bomb. Interior does still have a sense of rent-a-crap in it. I like the powertrain choices, but I'm extremely dissappointed the boosted V6 never made it through.

Looks awesome. Like someone said earlier Hyundai has come a long way. 3 years ago I wouldn't have touched one but now I would drive that any day of the week. I wonder though if they will have some kind of package to where you can get the I4 with the brembo's. If they did. I'll take one in black.

Thanks you!

Sence 03 i think the tiburons have looked good (thats why i drive one) maybe not the fastest but it turns some heads, but now hyundai is making cars with the whole package.

I don't see how anyone can knock this car.
I-4 or V-6, proper RWD platform.

Toyota/Honda should be ashamed. NIssan has the 350Z and GT-R though not direct competition.

NIssan has the 350Z and GT-R though not direct competition. The 350Z is the target demographic with the Hyundai Genesis from what I'm gathering. IIRC Hyundai is trying to compete with the 350Z, RX-8, and Mustang GT. Should be an interesting fight if they keep the price down.

Id buy it over alot of cars... I like the way that i fit in a tibby, hopefully the genisis wll be similar, and I'm tall so that is very important to me.

I will give it a couple years to hear about any gremlins / wait for aftermarket to grow, and then I could def. see myself considering getting one.
