Bears are starting to come out of hibernation in Colorado's high country and some are getting into trouble.
This week, one bear was hit and killed, likely after it had gone foraging in a nearby landfill.
Another bear broke through a glass door in a Mountain Valley home, according to the Aspen Times.
Officials said the door was locked, but the bear kept working it until it popped open around 2:30 a.m.
Randy Hampton with the Colorado Division of Wildlife told 7NEWS, "it's not uncommon for them [bears] to smash doors."
