ok so I just got done putting in a clutch in my new car and it started to backfire shortly after then progressively got worse with sputtering and whenever I put it in gear and try to go it feels like its got really bad gas going through it and it tries to odie so I take it out of gear, im thinking vaccum leak or mis matched ecu plugs that I undid to take out the trans. I have no cel's or oil light but I'm not sure they work either  had to give it gas to start it at first last time I tried and after that I just turn ignition and it starts right up. Any advice will be apprecieated, just trying to get ideas for tomorrow. BTW car has full tune-up new filters all around, plugs, wires, cap, cat....

if you try to drive it and it sputters and backfires will it eventually get a good burn and kind of accelerate fast

your timing could have jumped if you got on it for ex. throwing it down and it's already near the end of the gear

car was never ran hard since I have bought it. this is a dd, I don't need to be breaking anything by racing with a 100hp motor, just not worth it.

it may be your fuel pressure. check your fuel pump and fpr. see if anything is cloged in your fuel rail.

turns out it was a bad injector...WOW 99% of the time its something else, in most cases I hear that it could be the injectors but it ends up being something else. Then that threw my o2 off trying to make up for it by running the other 3 rich as hell, I thought I smell'd gas...BTW big props to tristar automotive, they are expensive, but the only people I really trust, their techs know their shiit

put in the injector and it will hold idle better, but still sputtering bad.... :( I hate cars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
