Atlanta Auto Show This Year

Is it just me, or to those of you have gone did you feel this year by far was a let down? They did not seem to have the stuff they do other years, Not nearly as many concepts, Not many exotics, etc. I do understand they had to space it between 2 different buildings because of the damage to the Convention Center and that part didnt bother me but the cars there this year just didnt do anything for me.

Only 3 cars worth seeing was:

2009 ZR-1
The New Lexus IS-F
The New Skyline GT-R

I havent gone yet but I live within walking distance so I might as well go. Were they giving away a lot of free crap like posters and stuff?

absolutely not.. .we only got maybe 5 posters, and a toy hummer... they werent giving away hardly anything... we were disappointed :(

I dunno, I liked it. Hell for the price you pay to get in, you really cant complain too much. It was a nice relaxed atmosphere.

I dont think he is saying the set up and the atmosphere was bad, we just did not see any new cars that are coming out that really caught our eye... except for the 3 he listed

Yes we did.. however I was not impressed with the carbon fiber panel on the side... the led lights were awesome though!

Hell no they werent, I was able to find 5-6 posters tops, I was hoping for the usual tons they hand out cause I wanna hang them in my garage but this year no one was giving out free stuff

Lots of other cars besides the obvious ZR1, IS-F and GTR. This was my first sighting of the DBS and Challenger SRT8 in production trim. The upcoming Genesis coupe looked cool as well. If you can look beyond the Hyundai badge, I believe that coupe might outsell the pretty bland looking Altima, Accord and Camry coupes..

First my love it is NSX, second that black one belongs to my buddy Mehrdad. He has been down to the Varsity a couple of times.

I went yesterday and agree. Nothing really jumped out with the exception of maybe 5 or 6 cars. The 599 was wat really made the show for me otherwise it was blah.

All things considered, I think they're doing quite well. Immediately after the tornado, there was serious talk of cancelling/postponing it indefinitely, so I suppose just having one is a triumph all it's own. Not to mention having the building partially operational and having everything go through so quickly with all the changes.

That was meant for all the Hyundai haters on this site man .. I don't love those Koreans but don't hate 'em either. The current Sonata V6 is a great long distance cruiser and V6 Tibs are pretty decent fun on winding roads.
