Also times for Little Talladega included from other cars.

I decided to actually have a friend time me at the end of the day at Little Tally and he tallied up 5 or 6 1:09's in a row at the end of the day before my street pads really gave up on me and I started taking it easy. I was even more content when the down to earth country boy officals even informed me I was only 3 seconds off Dez's (they didn't know his name but described his car) very modified 996 Turbo.
My car has
Shocks/Springs
Bent to hell Kosei K1 (front right)
Stock sway bars
X-braceless
Full interior
Stock Diff/gears
Toyo Ra1's
Currently no brake duct cooling on front left
Street Pads (axis b.s pads)
Shrick Cams + tune

I believe with some HT-10's I could really cut no less than .5 of a second off. Not bad for a very understeer happy/body leaning M3.
Track notes for relatively stock suspensioned M3.
In between 1 and 2 I see about 105-106mph
Back straight 106 mph
Planted in turn 1 i'm around 84mph
Car understeers heavily on an early apex into the esses which results in a 1:10 time.
Bent wheel is a distraction that needs to go away
Zero brake biased regardless of the lack of one duct
Toyo's work best at 29psi Cold

Other times
Doppelbadger-Faster..running 1:08-1:09 consistantly
APR Audi TT-1:15 (stock springs)
RobM3-1:12 consistant with him driving
Trailored Vette on Hoosiers-1:08-1:1:10 (up and down alot)

Also I took the liberty of driving my friends bone stock 125whp 3G eclipse with mis-matched tires and stock everything but springs and 2x lbs 17's. I managed a 1:16-1:17 but feel I could've done consistant 1:16's had it had the power steering belt on and tread on the front left tire
Track notes for 2.4 3g eclipse:
86-88 mph on all three straights
Car understeers heavily on the esses if thrown in improperly
74 mph through turn one
drum brakes suck
CAR HAS POTENTIAL!!

On I side note I believe this eclipse has potential. I will nay say the 3g eclipse haters. When I rolled in a few people were shocked but I already knew what I was running without the timer. It was literally "guess what you were running"..Me"1:17" haha. 1:17s my first time out and 1:16s when I modified some of my lines. With disc brakes/proper wheels/tires/pads/fluid this car would have no trouble doing 14's or better

thats pretty good.... when we hosted an event there the winning CSP miata ran a 1 10... and me in my rx3 was a 1 12 with hitting maybe 80 on the strights... maybe 80 lol 116hp and 2200 lbs of car.

but 100+ is flying ... i just imagined you had to break so early to keep from killing those pads.

Here's some typical laptimes from trackpedia:

On a side note, I ran 1:15s no passenger CCW on the new layout more than a year ago in my full weight (~3000lbs with driver) pretty much stock engine S14 with 225 Falken RT615s and stock brakes with Hawk HP+ pads. I had some brake fade issues and didn't down shift from 3-2 going into corner 3, so I probably left a bit of time on the table. I run sans a rear bar so the car understeers near the limit, I may throw one on there in the future. Hoping to get it to low teens on street tires next time I head out there. IIRC there was another pretty much stock white S14 from Alabama there with RA1s and he was probably running a second or two faster than I was.

Thats really good. That miata was really driving it right. 95M3rob was running 1:12's consistent on mis-matched street tires at full weight but he had ground control coil-overs..a set-up I adore. With a passenger I was around 3350-3400lbs. I really did have to break early alot but the pads were holding up alright...they were just unpredictable if they were going to bite and stop or fad after several laps. It was stange because when they seemed the hottest they'd grab but on other earlier laps at what would be full temperature they'd fade. Back and forth..

That's solid. Sounds about right. I wish I could get more seat time in an E30 M3. One of the most fun stock cars to drive around.

One of the most eye opening experiences I had on track was in an instructor's E30 3 series, though it was running on Hankook Z212 street tires it was on double adjustable Konis, and boy did those dampers make the tires GRIP, absolutely blew any of the JDM coilovers out of the water.

e30's are pure money with almost no money spent on them. Best track rat cars period.

you should be hitting about 37 psi hot with the RA-1. on some cars, ive started them as low as 25 psi depending on ambient temps. pretty decent tires though, the new R888 arent so good, we blow through an entire set in two sessions. those tires need an incredible amount of camber.
what shocks? what spring rates?
double adustable Koni's are pretty damn good. especially if you have them shortened and revalved specifically for your car. I use them on a lot of IT Hondas. just be wary of the adjusters, not so good. Koni really needs to step it up on that aspect.
but nothing beats Moton's for touring cars. low/high speed bump, rebound and adjustable can pressures. gotta love em.
sounded like fun though, i havnt been to tally in years, way before the track change.

WTF did you do to my name?!?!?! lol
Yeah, i figured out that i need the 55mm core KOYO... i have a 37mm core PWR
I've been having a blast out there. It would be nice for both of us to hit the track, on r-cpms, with good brakes....and no overheating issues

hahah it's about time you saw my own version of your name. Hah good that you figured things out. We will hit it up soon enough perfect and ready to run em'..however i've decided that my car just needs suspension. I've done so many weekends with this set-up and after driving Rob's M3 it's like driving a car the handle's right. My car just seems pushy and :2up: to me (but predictable and planted which I love). I gaurentee I was owning my time through the first 3 curves on his car with 8" wheels and mis-matched street tires! I love his set-up.

I'm around 35-36psi after the cool down lap. I'm running 515/435 spring rates (H&R race) on bilstein sports (not modified). My camber bolts are adjusted but I need more camber as the car is just pushing more then it was before. It's a very stock car suspension wise but very very fun/easy to drive with lots of confidence. With some TRM/Ground Control coils it would be rediculously perfect.

There are two track days currently with spots, however one is 40 cars with 10 cars on at a time and I would much rather have the place to myself with 14 other cars and 3 cars at a time.
