I'm weighing my options for either buying a blown motor and building it or just rocking a stock bottom end for now. Let me know if anyone has one in any condition.

Thanks Travis!

It's an Lq9 wich is the same as an ls2 but has an iron block and a milder cam. will sell the longblock for $1600. In excellent condition nothing wrong with it.

Yea, the LS2's are 6.0L but aluminum block. I'm already sweating the extra weight of the motorset over the SR so the 85lbs added for the iron block just won't work for me. I'm not building a drag car that needs loads of power, its a road race car for NASA TTR class. I'm shooting for around 500whp and the LS2 will do that with no problems and have more area under the curve than an LS1. The whole reason I scrapped the SR project was to get a light motor with easier access to its power. A 9K rpm 2.2L SR just isn't as easy to get the power out of. I've been watching Ebay a lot in the last few weeks and now I'm just waiting for the right motor to pop up. If someone here had one it would just save me shipping which is getting expensive.
