Tell him to look in to the Toyo R888's, they seem to be working well for quite a few high whp 350z's that i know and they come in 19" sizes also. I doubt they make them in 20" though.

Most people get these high boost maps just for bragging rights and very seldom use them after they figure out they can't get traction on the street. If he had lowered the boost some it might have been a slightly closer race since he shouldn't have as much wheel spin. Props to Boki though for a bad ass Audi.

My G made 415whp and trapped 111mph, with the way the G/Z is geared they are NOT top end monsters.. at some point all you do is spin with all that horsepower. I would love to see this race from a 5mph roll which is right where a boosted VQ really takes off but it looks like the guy didnt know how to drive his car anyway.

People have made it deep in the 11's on the VQ platform with 480whp and slicks. Drag radials have brought out low 11's on less horsepower than what he is running. A 5 mph roll with him driving at this boost level would be nothing but a burnout competition. He was spinning his tires from a roll anyways. With proper tires and a little experience on the driver's part I feel the race would have been much closer. He set himself up for failure it appears.

Turbo VQ is TOUGH in 1st-3rd gear but after that it just doesn't compete with cars putting down big numbers.. trust me after going turbo and getting beat by a stock turbo Evo I wasn't too happy with the top end performance.

APS TT kit at about 10psi. you got to remember G coupes are not light. and a stock turbo spools crazy quick... the G even with 25ish more whp doesnt make up for the fat.

Dave =] the real question is how much is that z really making. i asked him about 30mins before they left for the runs. i said 18 lbs. and he just smirked at me and said something like that. so from when i was working at forged 18lbs with a greddy twin kit on race gas with f-con v-pro with navigator without open dumps. (i asked dan and boris if they heard open dumps on the z)is probably around the high 500s maybe touching 600whp on a DD. with a built block. but from what the vid showd i dont think he was at 18lbs+ maybe a stock block with 450ish with race gas @10lbs. but idk. thats all i know. a Z33 with 18lbs+ with race gas is very quick. 13lbs on pump gas ith DR can get you in the very low 11's. but 18lbs and race should be 10's easy. that was no 10 sec car.....(here come the F&F comments) so what his psi was really at and if he had a built block is only speculation. if that was really high 500whp he should have destroyed boris.

Jesus I really think its built up and its almost on the verge of being a riced out show car..i.m.o it is. I don't think he'd be that cocky if it was a stock block 10lb car on race gas. He would have to be a mega monkey because you me and hopefully him know even those arn't that fast to be cocky with. Almost anyone with anything good in this kill section could stomp that. Personally, I believe the kid just sucks at driving. It was stated he was only running 12's at the strip and he was dump enough to race from 40 on a 20" sidewall. well went i was at the forged dyno day today i asked sharif and he did say it was a fully built block with race gas at 18lbs. about 580ish on his DD. sooo yeah about 600-610 on a DJ. soo yeah. and i dont know what that roll was from but if it was like a 45 up to 60 he should have started in 4th not 2nd or 3rd. because my good friend stormcrow has the same setup and he spins at 80mph punching it in 4th. sooo.... 20" wheels and no side wall FTL. and a really really bad driver.

because the z was spinning? awd > rwd when it comes to grip... you can have a 1200rwhp car get owned by a 600AWHP car, simply because the awd car WILL hook and the rwd car might not... not saying this is every scenario, because that would be just down right ignorant, but i've seen stranger things happen :)
