Braselton Bash Car Show Honors Fallen Officer Todd Helcher
Year One, Inc., headquartered in Braselton, Georgia, was deeply saddened to learn about the death of 34-year old Braselton Police Officer Todd Helcher, who died in a traffic accident Monday, July 25, 2005. Officer Helcher is survived by his wife and four children.
Year One holds a car show in their parking lot the third Saturday of every month. The next show, Saturday, August 20, will be a memorial show for Officer Helcher, with all entry fees and donations going to the Todd Helcher Family Fund.
“Typically, there is a $5 registration fee for cars to enter the car show, and spectators get in free,” said company spokesman Brad Ocock. “For the August 20th Memorial show, we’re going to charge $10 per vehicle, and we will have collection points for spectator donations placed around the show.”
The show runs from 5pm-9pm, and has food vendors, free activities for children, and a burn-out contest at the end of the night. Year One is located on Highway 53, just East of the I-85 Exit 129 in the Braselton Tech Center complex.
The Todd Helcher Family Fund has been established, and anyone wishing to make a donation may do so at the Year One event, or by sending a check to:
